Nutrient water pollution

  • Many of our nation’s waterways have serious problems with algae caused by nitrogen and phosphorous pollution. We do not have this issue in the Delaware Bay  and the blessing is often attributed to fast-moving water. I was surprised to see this algae growth in the intertidal zone in the fast moving waters of Brigantine Inlet.
